When entering, we immediately felt a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The large fireplace is very attractive in autumn and winter and, together with a nice soft music in the background, is inviting guest to inter and settle down for a drink with a book or for a nice moment with friends. We went for a salmon toast and for an “americain”. Both were served within few minutes and were gorgeous. Absolutely fresh, very tasty, top class. Beautiful presentation, all was perfect. The 'americain' was surprisingly, served with a lot of fresh vegetables and some potatoes. The mini tomatoes were so nice, tasty and crispy. So was also the lettuce and other fresh vegetables. The advocado was perfectly smooth. Nice choice of regional beers. Top coffee and tea with a biscuit. The service was very efficient, very friendly, with marvellous smile. We will be pleased to be back as soon as we can. A real gem!Dear Martin,Thanks for your visit and for the very nice comment.Your enthousiasm is very motivating for our team and will inspire to continue with the same spirit! We hope to meet you soon again.Kind regards,Lieve, Sofie & Koen

This wouldn't be my natural choice in Kortrijk, even not passing it. Discovered this one by its reviews on Tripadvisor. Conclusion: don't judge a book by its cover. We sat in the sun at the inner terrace, drank homemade Sangria (recommendation) and ate mixed assortment of tapas (another recommendation). A limited menu, but with sufficient choice make this place worth to go. The sole "negative" thing I'd comment is that they serve Pepsi, instead of Coca-Cola..Dear client,Thank you for discovering us an for the nice review!!!

I went here with my wife, her parents and our son (1 yo). I called the restaurant for a reservation and mentioned we had a small child with us. He immediately informed us this was no problem at all. When we arrived the boss immediately brought a children's chair and had foreseen a larger table for us.We went for the mezze as a starter (which were excellent and varied) after that me and my wife went for the lamb steak. It was cooked to excellence and there were A LOT of side dishes. We had more than enough and it tasted delicious. The bill was ok, 170 euro for an apreitve, wine, water, starter and main.Would come back !

L'Osteria is well placed on a corner of the square. We sat outside but there was plenty of room inside if you wanted to be away from the crowds. Even though the square was busy, it wasn't noisy. The staff are all Italian - including the Chef - and speak at least two languages; our waitress spoke four - French, Flemish, English and Italian. There is a two course set menu for lunch at 12€, with a choice of two dishes for each course. Desserts and drinks are extra. Two of us had a very good meal, including gorgeous tiramisu, for 37€. All water is bottled - a jug of tap water isn't done. The restaurant is clean and well presented and I'm sure we'll be going back if we return to Kortrijk
