Had a great experience here. The souvlaki, rice, salad, pita, all of it was so delicious and in very generous portions. Definitely glad we decided to give this place a try, we will for sure be back for more soon. I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving Greek food. Our server Sam was great and all the staff were super nice.

Friends dinner gathering, decided to take a drive out to Port Coquitlam to have Greek dinner. As the whole Lower Mainland is getting more and more Metropolitan like, everywhere you go nowadays you will be in some sort of "traffic". Gone are the days for drivers to enjoy a leisurely drive when going out to the "Burbs", don't know where the burbs are now?Anyways, the drive was worthwhile since we really like the food and service here!Dinner items started off with some appetizers:Sikotakia - Chicken Liver Starter $9.50 (4/5 stars)Rich tasting pieces of chicken liver cooked in olive oil with garlic, wine, lemon juice and garnished with some diced red onion, perfect accompaniment with pita bread and wine!!Saganaki - Pan Fried Cheese $12.50 (4/5stars)Love this appetizer! The goat cheese is friend to perfection with a golden outer layer, crispy outside and creamy and chewy inside!!The saltiness of this cheese goes so well with wine!Tzatziki & Pita $6.50 (4/5 stars)Creamy yogurt with cool cucumber, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice!! A classic Greek dip with either your Pita or Grilled Meats!Love the fresh Pita! Its as fresh as can be with a nice crust and soft inside!!Main Course:Pallas Plater $58.50 (4/5 stars)Huge portion of Greek classic items including the followings:- Arni Psito - Tender Lamb Shoulder slow roasted to perfection with a well seasoned crust and juicy and tender meat.- Chicken Souvlaki - Grilled Chicken Breast meat marinated in lemon and yogurt, very well seasoned and with the right amount of garlic, very juicy and tender!- Calamari - Light & crispy pieces of very tender calamari!! Not greasy at all!Dolmathes - Grape leaves with filling of ground beef with rice and spices, the leaves are tender and young, with the topping of the lemon sauce this is a popular dinner item itself! We all loved it!Spanakopita - Filo pastry with a filling of spinach and cheese, another classic done perfectly!!Our wine selection: From Italy - Montalto Pinot Grigio $31.00Perfectly complimented our dinner from start to finish.Dessert:Bougatsa - need to say more!? Overall, the whole dining experience was relaxing and well timed out, we were not rushed at all and had plenty of time in between each course.Lovely service from our waitress to our bus person.Good solid Greek Cuisine that's worth the drive out to the "Burbs"!!See photos uploaded!

This is a wonderful family run restaurant with dishes to satisfy any appetite. The staff are friendly, and helpful. The prices are Fair.. Lamb is their specialty.
We arranged for Dinakis to cater dinner for my 60th birthday party. We ordered chicken & prawn slouvaki skewers, roast lamb, spanakopitas, greek roasted potatoes, greek rice, greek salad, pita bread. The food was delivered on time as requested, the food was really tasty. I had a total of 30 friends and family at the party and every really enjoyed the food, we had some go for seconds and third helpings, that's how good it was. There was lots left over as well, in fact I was asking the guest to take as much home as possible. Thanks Dinakis

It was lunch in the neighbourhood for us recently, our first visit to Paros, since it moved to this Burnaby location from Coquitlamâs Burquitlam Plaza a few years ago. We walked into the restaurant before noon, acquired a table of our choice, and received prompt and friendly initial service of menus, and large tumblers of cold water. We chose the Paros Platter (for two) â the platter came with chicken souvlaki, prawn souvlaki, kalamaria, dolmades, and spanakopita â and was served with rice, potatoes, Greek salad, tzatziki, and pita. The food came to our table via three large dishes - salad, potatoes & rice, and platter. Presentations looked fine, and Iâll admit it was fun to see everything come at the same time, and take over so much space on our table, though I was a little surprised to see it actually served this way.The quality of food preparations was âmixedâ â overall, quite bland in flavours and tastes â lacking in those wonderful, and truly-distinct flavours we have come to look for, and so enjoy when dining on Greek food. The salad, prawn souvlaki, and dolmades were very decent exceptions, and well-prepared - the salad colourful, fresh, crisp, and tasty, prawns tender and flavourful, and dolmades, though very small in size, made up for their size in big taste. The kalamaria was plentiful and tender (yea!), but lacked flavour. The chicken souvlaki was terribly overcooked, dry, and tough. The spanakopita was overcooked as well, flat, very little âstuffingâ, and dry wraps. The tzatziti lacked some âzipâ, and tasted much more like plain yogurt. The portion of rice and roasted potatoes was large, well-prepared, but lacked in any distinct flavour and taste. The pita tasted like cold, white bread.Overall, our dining experience at Paros Taverna was just âokâ â must say, food preparations were more than a touch disappointing, and really lacked the great flavour & taste âexcitementâ of Greek fare we had hoped for, and expected to find at this restaurant.
