Food and drinks were good but the customer needs to keep a good eye on the bill coz they could charge you extra for something you did not have, we were a group of 5 ordered 5 mains and an extra pizza & desserts but by the time the bill came they have charged us for 7 mains (5000 Rs extra).Since there was not much of a crowd at the restaurant there was no reason for such a mistake and what we all thought was it was not a mistake but intentionally done (either the respective person intentionally charged us extra thinking that we wonât check the bill or he by mistake charged us extra but was too lazy to re punch the bill) When I mentioned it to them the way they acted clearly showed us that they very well knew about it.Somehow we find this not acceptable from a respectable hotel chainDear Dhanushka71Thank you for your comments on the Il Ponte and we do take comments such as these very seriously, we have checked with our restaurant manager and heard that after the specific order was cancelled they had voided the amount in the bill.There is absolutely no reason to deceive any of our customers as we respect each and every customer who patronizes our hotel and we do appreciate the support. We celebrated my husband' birthday here because it's his favorite restaurant in Colombo. Lucrezia and Jensen were incredibly helpful in organizing the surprise. The food was top notch, as always. I absolutely love their pizzas! Lucrezia actually had a HUGE brownie cake done for my husband at a very moderate price as well. IT was divine, that we couldn't stop eating it. I am a sucker for good customer service, and this place definitely sets the bar high. Managed to get there for happy hour! 50% off cocktails? Yes please!! Drinks were great, even managed to sneak in some cheeky onion rings! Yes!Manager and waiter were really attentive and we would definitely go back! The Royal Thai however... This will be in my other review.Get yourself to seven degrees north! Try it, you might like it!

Excellent evening mostly due to the super service. The waiting staff were confident and well informed. They guided us fluently through the menu and were very attentive through the evening.The meal was delicious. We had items from the cold and warm mezze menu, super mint tea and tamarind juice. The slow cooked pulled lamb with pomegranate molasses was great as was the strips of grilled egg plant with pita chips and spiced yoghurt
