We recently dined here and it was absolutely dreadful. Our main course was risotto with pancetta, mushroom and cream sauce. It was truly inedible , totally overcooked and unbelievably dry.( clearly just thrown into the oven and left ) Not surprisingly we complained to the waiter, who took our dishes back to the kitchen. However, nobody wanted to know and our complaint was simply ignored. We were charged â¬34 for 2 the inedible dishes (out of a total bill of â¬75).It was a terrible experience made worse by the fact that the management totally ignored our complaint. The risotto was a disgrace to Italian cuisine. ?

Admittedly this was on a Fete de Pruneax night, so everywhere was busy. We had been to this restaurant before but I think it must have changed hands because previously there had been a special menu for the festival with prunes in every course, eg. foie gras stuffed with prunes, etc. So we saw Festival Special Menu and sat down. They were only serving a single course plus dessert and it was all Italian, no specials for the Festival. We ordered a carafe of rose wine, which came after we had requested it three times. We were one of the first people to sit down so the restaurant wasn't busy at this point. We then ordered veal escalope which came with spaghetti pomerdero. It took 45 minutes for us to be served. The food was simple and uninteresting, nothing to write home about. We then ordered coffee and it never came. We were watching the staff and it was utter chaos. It cost us 39 euros for the food and a carafe of wine. We have eaten much better pasta and much cheaper in Italy, with waiters who know how to care for their clents. The pizzas looked good and I think they should stick to serving them.

Absolutely fantastic food. Freshly cooked, huge portions, and above all delicious. Cannot recommend the food, or the friendliness of the staff highly enough. Furthermore it is extremelt reasonably priced. Lunch time 2 courses are 12 euros and you are so full afterwards that you can hardly move.

Not a restaurant you would necessarily stumble across by accident, as it is tucked away at the end of an alleyway. Once you've found it, though, you won't want to just go the once!Walk through the tiny courtyard (complete with sand and toy camel - and on one memorable occasion a real camel!) and walk into another world. The restaurant is set in a bedouin tent! The menu is not extensive - choice of meat, fish or chicken tagine, or a 'royale' comprising either chicken or the most melt-in-the-mouth lamb, kebab and sausage, but always accompanied by a huge bowl of vegetables and fluffy couscous, and always so delicious. You will never go home hungry as portions are huge. The staff are now used to me asking to take home a doggy bag!The waitresses are always so cheerful and smiley, and the owner always takes the time to check his customers are happy. To make the occasion more special, book for a Saturday night and there may even be a belly dancer. We have been to this restaurant so many times, and have taken numerous friends and gite guests. So many of them always ask to be go a second (third/fourth) time.
