Greek hospitality in a pleasant atmosphere In our comfortably furnished restaurant we offer you 40 seats. On our terrace additional 50 seats are available in the summer.
We recently enjoyed one of the best meals of our two week holiday at Zeus Restaurant. The service was excellent and all diners were given a complimentary shot of ouzo at the start of the meal. We started off with dolmas - which were delicious. The lamb and gyro meat were both excellent as were all the sides that came with. Lots of locals eating here which is always a good sign - highly recommend!

We had smelled the aromas wafting from this restaurant for a couple of days before eating here and we really enjoyed our shared dinner. Good portions and selection...and great outdoor seating.

Modern, but cosy place at the old train station in Assmansshausen. Service is very personal and friendly. The pizza was outstanding, like in Italy. We couldn't remember when last we had such great pizza. Lots of other fantastic dishes. The wine selection of white wine is a bit limited, red wine menu is good. The noise of the passing trains is the only disturbance of an outstanding experience.

I am not sure that I would describe this as 'a gem' as a previous reviewer has seen fit to do so. Staying at the nearby NH Hotel I sought a lunch venue for a solo and hungry traveler to see him through to dinner-time. The Calimero was available on a Sunday afternoon in an otherwise deserted little town. But it would be unfair to describe it as 'any port in a storm', nor could I realistically rate it without tasting its wider range of culinary offerings. I wanted a pizza and it is only upon that basis that I can assess the venue. The pizza was good, thin based, crispy, not soggy in the middle and a glass of Italian red was dry and reasonably rounded. For â¬12 it did the job. The place was clean, well patronised by locals (a good sign) and the staff were pleasant and efficient. If I was trying out some more demanding dishes I might be raising the rating to four, but for what I had it was fair-to-good.
