Did a quick carry-out recently, first time at this restaurant, and was pleasantly surprised - reasonable prices, lots of menu choices including plenty of veggie, beef and lamb dishes. Freshly made bread came with the hummus - loved it! Large portions, enough for two meals. Very friendly, helpful staff. I'm from out of town, but I'll be back!

I like Sahara. You are never rushed and the food is fresh. Lentil soup is great. Fatoush and hummus are consistently good. Oddly enough, the lamb is probably my least favorite. It always seems tough. However the gyros and chicken kafta/kabob sandwiches are good. Nice family.

I have been going to Emily's since I was in high school. While we lived away and visited for vacation it was one of the must destinations for us. Now that we have moved back I am happy to know it is close. My daughter is a vegetarian so my buying habits have been slightly altered. The spinach pies are good. I still prefer the meat pies. I also tried a few other items, the chicken pies, herb bread and baklava. I have to say that the baklava was really special, perhaps the best I have ever had. You could taste the rose water used in preparation and it was sweet but not overly sweet. Emily is still cooking everyday as she always has for so many years. Sam runs the place and he's a gruff charmer. This place is a treasure.
