The food is excellent and authentic. They donât serve alcohol any longer, not sure why. But, the food is amazing! And their fruit drinks are great with real fruit.

My gringo son and I stopped by on a Sunday around lunch time and it was filled mostly with a Latin crowd that all looked pretty happy. This was a good sign. We really didn't know what to get so we stuck with what we knew which was empanadas. We also both got fresh mango papaya drinks . We enjoyed both and maybe next time we will venture out and try a few more things. We also enjoyed the family atmosphere that exuded throughout the place.

Never have I used the words âblandâ and âMexican cuisineâ in the same sentence, until now. From the prime location to the lavish interior of Pueblo Maya in Buford one would expect to see really great things coming from the kitchen. However to my utmost disappointment that is not the case. My Mexican go to...Chilaquiles. The chips should be swimming in melted cheesy goodness and the chicken smothered in salsa. Letâs just say that the lack of both left these left nothing more than a dry unflavored pile on my plate. And when the tacos your friend ordered are only described as âworse than Taco Bell,â you know that you will never come back here again. There could never be a redemption.It is a shame because rent alone for the location has to be pricey and if the food isnât up to par this place will go down as just another Mexican restaurant that couldnât figure it out!

I was very excited to have some delicious food but...other reviewer must have gone on a better day. I have been trying to go there for a while now but this restaurant keeps the oddest hours making that a challenge. The yuca fries needed a side of mojo. The salad - don't bother. What I found especially unappealing was the monfongo. The chicharones were chunks of pork fat. Not crispy just flabby fat. Empenada had almost a puffy shell which was odd. Flan had crystallized sugar in the topping that it was not cooked properly. Over all I was not impressed.
