Reviews on Latin food in Quesada, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica including La Cafeteria, Tilapias Quecos, Rancho de Ceci, Restaurante El Sendero
Restaurants in Quesada
We are from Napier New Zealand which has a thriving coffee shop culture. This place beats everything I tried in the last 20 years in many countries. The ciabatta sandwich was delicious. So was the pasta and tomato mozarello salad. All drinks of great quality and presentation too. Avoid lunch hour as the place is packed. Not expensive either. Very friendly and personal service and the waiter from Cuba Sergio speaks very good English.

There are plenty of restaurants in San Carlos, and many charge less than $10 per meal. This one was close to $18, with a similar food quality. Their selling point is the freshness and taste of their Tilapia, which seemed OK (it doesn't have the taste of frozen fish), but other than that there is not much effort in making the food shine. The place is nice, they have taken good care of it, but they need to stand up and enhance their meals. They are charging the price to do so. It is not like the quality of the food is bad, it is that the balance is not there. They serve a plate with 6 types of carbs, and only one protein... that is not a balanced plate at all!!!

This restaurant has been a Costa Rican institution for decades. Travellers going from San José to the San Carlos region traditionally have breakfast here, but the Typical food menu is extensive and everything is delicious. The best part, though, is the loving, polite and excellent service. A must-do when in this part of the country.

A phenomenal dining experience presented in a breath taking room, perched on the edge of the cloud forest. The cuisine is a fusion of traditional regional dishes and popular classics from across the country, enhanced by innovative sauces, spices and combi
Our breakfast, lunch and dinner were here at El Sendero. Waiter Gabriel and waitress Konnie were exceptional. Chef visited our table. He obviously takes pride in his food and presentation. Prices are reasonable, food was tasty and well prepared. Make sure you try the blackberry sauce for breakfast and dinner.Dear Skippy4159Thank you for choosing Restaurante El Sendero, located in Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel, member of Greentique Costa Rica.We really appreciate your review, please come back any time to enjoy the best again.Johannes Kohkemper AGreentique Hotels Costa Rica.
