Donât be put off by the exterior. This lovely cosy restaurant provided some of the tastiest food we have eaten this trip. The menu isnât very extensive but the ingredients and flavours more than make up for this. The quantity of food is also spot on. Brilliant service from very attentive staff added to the experience. Would definitely eat here again and can highly recommend

$18 for fried fish dumplings with plain rice and a "sauce" that tasted like plain mayonnaise? With a 3" long black hair in the middle of the plate? White rice, when the menu clearly stated the dish came with yucca fries, and there was no word from the server about a substitution? No thanks. The fish was pretty good, but nothing I couldn't get at tons of other spots, and that is the best I can say about the dish. I have been to Peru twice and love the food. This place? Not so much.I'll pass on the return visit.

We walked here from our motel (seeing prairies dogs along the way). I ordered the fabulous grilled trout, served with chimichurri sauce, small fried potatoes and large salad with a nice buttermilk dressing. The accompanying strawberry lemonade was perfect for such a hot day. Recommended.

Welcome to Jalapeños Tacos & More Great variety of original Mexican tacos, quesadillas, chiles rellenos jalapenos, fajitas and much more. Mexican and New Mexican flavored food whit the best quality in service and food. - WE SERVE THE BEST FOOD IN TAOS. -
We come through Tao's frequently and try to pick something new every time. The food here was EXCEPTIONAL. Especially the ceviche with the chipotle mayo. Some of our food came with red or green chili and I choose to get it "Christmas" style. I would highly recommend this if you are a fan of both as they are both very tasty!!! Only complaint was the service was really, really bad. However, I feel this was an isolated incident as the staff appeared to be having a rough day. We are all human and bad days happen. I would go again to give them an opportunity to improve on this past experience.
