Casual sushi cafe by day sake bar by night. Come and enjoy the only award winning Japanese owned and operated Japanese restaurant in New Plymouth. The Sake Bar is all about enjoying the cultural experience by eating shared tapas and matching it with sake,
Went there to celebrate and while weâre a little apprehensive at first as Japanese cuisine is quite intimidating our hosts made us feel welcome and guided us through the process. Lovely little authentic touches. Private booths, drum welcome, sake, green tea and Sapporo. Loved it and the meal was awesome. Ingredients incredibly fresh

Went here on Saturday night for a birthday party. Service was terrible. The staff didn't know whose food was for who. Is was a shambles. I'm still waiting for one of the dishes I had ordered. Talk amongst the table was that others had had similar experiences. Not cool.HelloWe are sorry to hear this is your experience and would love to talk to you more about this. Probably the best sushi I have ever had on a consistent basis. Great value, fresh - lots of variety. Great service. Clean. Highly recommend this cafe - my lunch time favourite in New Plymouth.

The sushi at Nami is always fresh and there are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. The self service is great because you get to choose whatever you would like from a huge range of options. There is also hot food! I recommend the broccoli and cheese triangle from the hot food section. The staff are super friendly too. Always a pleasure to come here for lunch.
