Sendai is a small Japanese restaurant in a not heavy traffic location but is so popular. When going there for lunch, ensure to come early as it is full packed. The palce is small but is clean and the foods are really fresh. I love the sashimi the best.

I was in town for business and decided to try this place out. The place was very busy so I was hopeful the food would be good. I placed two separate orders (one for a co-worker and one for myself) and waited.... and waited. Considering they were busy, I didn't mind too much, but they do not have seating near the door so I had to stand for about 20 min before I received my order.I checked my order before I left and one of the items was incorrect. I ordered a teriyaki bowl and instead I received a teriyaki roll. I was advised I told the server "roll." Having never been to this place before and not even knowing that was an option, I advised I ordered correctly, the server misunderstood. In any event, I had to wait another 10-15 min to get the correct order. During all of the time I am waiting, I noticed a few instances where the servers were quite rude to customers. They were busy, I get it, but I work in the customer service industry and it was shocking to me how little customer service they provided.I drove back to the office very excited (and starving) and opened my box (lunch box with Miso, chicken teriyaki and sashimi) and I was appalled. My sashimi was warm and the chicken in my chicken teriyaki was mostly fat, gristle and over cooked/dried as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp far too long. About the only thing I ate was the white rice and Miso.I paid about $10 for my lunch and couldn't even eat half of it. To say I was very disappointed would be an understatement. I do NOT recommend this place at all and will never go back.

I went to Bento Xpress for lunch and enjoyed their chicken teriyaki. I purchased their larger size so that it also came with rice, salad, and vegetables. Food was nicely prepared and tasty. With it I had a Hawaiian Sun Strawberry & Guava Necter. Service was good as well.

We enjoyed saki with our dinner at Uotomo Sushi. We both ordered combination dinners. It comes with miso soup. For my dinner, I enjoyed sashimi, chicken teriyaki, salad and rice. My husband enjoyed agadashi tofu, spicy salmon roll, and sashimi.Service is good at this friendly Japanese home style restaurant.
