Terrible service, exceptionally rude staff, overpriced sushi One of many flaws: sitting at the bar, we had to repeat our orders several times because they were neglected, and ultimately half of them not fulfilled. Also, food (whatever we finally managed to get, LOL) quality is not worth the money spentWe are not coming back to that place

12 Rotating handles of fresh craft beer, 500+ bottles and cans, cocktails, wine, lunch dinner and brunch. Tahoe's biggest and best place for great food, drink and service
Great service and delicious food. Been twice now and each time the food has been impressive. We've had a mixed array of appetizers and meals - and we have liked everything. Hummus and flatbread are perfect, brussel spouts app amazingly tasty, and of course the pretzels are yummy and fun for kids!

The parking is ok. The property is clean. Reception good. Noise level a bit high. Menu typical. The presentation of the dishes was just ok. No flare no imagination. The food itself was tasty and fresh. Wasabi was fresh, ginger moist and distinct. Definitely would return.

Drove by Tahoe City Sushi while on vacation on the lake, and decided to try it for dinner. First, the positives...sushi slices were in decent proportion, presentation was beautiful, ambiance and service was good, but...Wife and I ordered the chirashi and Placer roll, would have been delicious but the rice had no flavor at all. Sushi rice has a slight vinegar taste to it, some may be slightly sweet...but this rice had nothing, not even like plain rice you get in a Chinese restaurant. I think the Placer roll would have been a huge hit, if it were not for the rice itself. Flavoring was good, but the lack of taste from the sushi rice used definitely lowered my rating.Sorry, because we did love the restaurant!
