My wife and two friends of ours were visiting the Willamette wine country this past week and were given a recommendation for Rosamarino in Newberg. What a fantastic place! I've traveled the world and eaten in many great places, but this restaurant is special. The owner/chef and his wife make this experience truly exceptional, so much so that we visited them twice during our short week of vacation.They have a set course menu on weekdays which is paired with great wines. The chef comes out to your table to explain each course (how it was prepared, why he selected the companion wine, etc.). This made the experience absolutely memorable. We liked it so much for the weekday dinner that we went back on Sunday night. On Sundays, they only serve gnocchi and pizza. Both were wonderful.If you find yourself looking for dinner options around Newberg OR, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Rosamarino!

Was really looking forward to dinner given various reviews and the Atticus Hotel's recommendation of Nicks. We were seated and had to wait at least 20 minutes to order our wine (had to ask for a wine list) and food and flag down the water. Our appetizers came pretty quickly and then when were finished our empty plates sat and sat. My daughter finally took the plates up to the bar to get rid of them. Our waiter said they were short a staff person and also were training someone. But the "trainer" came and pranced by serving us extra water but did not bother to take away our dirty plates. Noone checked on us after the food was served to see how we liked the food. And we had to get up and request the check over 2 hours after our arrival. The food was good but not exceptional. I have to say we would not return. Sad as I feel they have great potential and the atmosphere was nice. Wish we had just eaten at the Atticus' restaurant. (:

I went here for the first time recently and things didn't start well. Though soup or salad is offered with the dinner, they had no soup at all. And no they wouldn't allow an extra piece of garlic bread instead for the person in our party who did not want a salad. Also they have 12 Italian Soda flavors advertised in the lobby but only have 4 of them. Then they messed up our order by putting the wrong sauce on the wrong dish.But a different waitress cleared up our orders and offered apologies for the mess ups, and the dinner and Italian Sodas were quite good, and the garlic bread is exceptionally tasty. So the night was saved and we'll be going back.

They have the very best pizza and they are quick in their preparation. I have enjoyed their many salads on numerous occasions and loved how tasty they all were. Their theater is very popular with your food delivered to you at your table. It is a nice set-up. Check it out. Sometimes you can find a Groupon if you have never been there before.
