Go into the almost-silent, absurdly pretty main square up the hill in Valence-sur-Baise and under the arches in cool shade you'll find this very unassuming pizzaria, with tables outside and in.The tables & chairs themselves are cheap; they don't all match; there's no red wine by the glass; the place-mats and napkins are paper... but there's a wide variety of pizzas, some very inventive, on the menu - and when ours arrive they prove very good indeed: of extremely generous size, and with faultless bases and quality ingredients. This is real food.Service is kindly and shy, and there IS white or rosé by the glass - and a very large glass it turns out to be, inexpensive and robust. When the chef steps outside, he walks around the tables to ask, from genuine interest, if his customers are satisfied. We are. There's a large family at another table, with a small girl running around. No-one minds. It's part of la vie belle. My overall rating is merely Average only because the TripAdvisor rating system offers nothing between that and Very Good. If there were, more reasonably, a Good category before we came to VG and Excellent (which in my view should be reserved for the great restaurants of the world) then this little pizzaria would certainly earn its Good classification.

Based on others' recommendations, we went for lunch and had four different kinds of pizza. All were excellent. We were lucky to get a table as others were turned away after us, so I would highly recommend making a reservation. One plus is that sitting outside is very pleasant as there is an awning that covers every table!

So affordable, so quirky and cute! Good food, good service. Great espresso (Italian) and of course Monluc wines. The sangria is yummy.

Looks clean, good food, prices reasonable. Title of receipt says its also a pizzeria but no pizza on the menu. The real issue is the service. We asked zero questions and did not delay ordering but what a sour waitress. If there was another place to eat I would have gotten up and left.
