The hosts, Roberto and Catalina, welcomed us ..Owners so sweet and accommodating pizza was incredible, we wanted to eat on Monday but they were closed due to medical reasons, so as we hear its the best best in Salamanca, thought to try once more so went on Tuesday and we were not disappointed, pizza were so large we had to ask for a take away, the Rosados wine was a bit off , but drinkable, , however when we are back will definitly go back

I was looking for really good italian cuisine and found this place on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. Little did I know I was in for quite a treat because my dinner was outstanding. The restaurant is tucked away in a small plaza, and it wouldn't immediately catch your eye because the restaurant is in the basement...so look closely for a door with "Rugantino" on it. When I walked in there we're two large tables of locals celebrating a birthday, so I knew immediately I had chosen somewhere great. You truly feel like you're in Italy with the atmosphere and wonderful artwork. Definitely worth trying..I would go back again and again.

Like (some?) others I didn't go to Spain to eat Pizza, but rest assured, this restaurant has other fare- like steak. Or jambon. Or other traditional Spanish dishes. But I'd suggest trying the steak (Medallones de Morucha Charra), it actually made me wonder whether the Argentinians hadn't learned a thing or two about cooking steak from the Spanish round these parts.Memory Lane? The place is packed with memorabilia from earlier ages, from 60s airline seats, to an Enid Blyton corner for kids to- well you really have to see it to believe it, rather like it's sister hotel (which if you stay there gives you a 10% discount).Staff (Danny, Vicente, gracias) were brilliant- even though we were there on a Monday with few customers, they opened up the other half so we could look around at the exhibits in it.A memorable meal, in a memorable place, we would definitely go back.P.S. A little hard to find, if you have trouble (we did) just ask anyone, in one of the friendliest towns we visited on our trip even the smallest child knows where PizzaPizza is.
