I've eaten pizza everywhere in France, and on the whole, it's been a pretty disappointing experience. I'm from the US where pizza is a big deal and you can get lots of types (good and bad), so I feel like I'm kind of an aficionado. Humble too. Anyway, the pizza at this place has a nice, puffy/chewy crust, quality ingredients, delicious sauce (I would put it in a glass and drink it!) and they're HUGE. A small size is like any other restaurants' large size. And last but not least, it's served with smile after smile after smile. The owner is so kind and concerned about her patrons being happy, and the head waitress is so sweet, I could easily see her being a kindergarten teacher favored by every kid who ever sat in her class. Really, it's worth going to and even worth grabbing takeout pizzas. We have a pizza place closer to our house, but we make the extra drive to the Tour de Pizz just for their stuff. They also have pretty good ribs (although the portion is a bit small for this fat American. haha) and their burgers aren't bad either. That's about all we've eaten there, even though their menu offers much more. It's the kind of place you want to have a pizza in, with the sports and flags hanging everywhere. BTW, if the owner of the place reads this, you might want to take that one down that's above your door...the southern rebel flag of the US. Lots of people see that as a racist thing. :)

We have a holiday cottage 2km from this restaurant and absolutely love the place. Every time we visit the cottage we ensure we make a visit to Les Bains Douches. The Pizzas are cooked the traditional way in a brick oven which adds to the flavour. All the pizzas are to die for, especially the sea food pizza which is a personal favourite. For those who prefer something a little different then there are French & English dishes to chose from which are all very tasty. The sweet menu is very varied and their crepes are excellent. The place is run by a husband and wife combo who are extremely friendly and helpful and both speak English, for those who are not fluent in the local lingo! It has a really nice seating area outside and accross the road from the restaurant which are ideal for the warmer summer months.Prices are reasonable and it also does take away!
France Food Guide: 3 Pizza food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Nontron

There are only two restaurants in St Pardoux-la-Riviere, this being one of them. It's quite basic with a small outside seating area at the front and a little larger area inside. The outside area is next to the main road and there was a constant flow of cars parking up outside picking up their take away pizza's. Food is quite basic but portions were large and it doesn't cost very much so overall it was relatively good value for money. Some people opposite had pizzas and they looked very tasty. Service was good but maybe because there were not so many diners. If you want higher quality then try the Hotel de France around the corner but it will cost.
Where to eat European food in Nontron: The Best Restaurants and Bars

It was a Wednesday, market day and we had been recommended to a restaurant across the road. We didnât arrive until 1315 but strangely they had told us that they had run out of food to sell â a common theme in France in the off season it seems. Still all credit to the Patron there who directed us over to the Etoile.Initially we thought the Brasserie was closed but it was just that there was no-one in the front room by the bar area facing the street. Walking through to the rear dining room however we found it was jam packed and service was well under way but the Patron soon made us up a table at the back squeezed in between a party of 6 and another couple. On sitting down and scanning the room our ears soon detected a mixture of French and English accents around the room, often at the same table too and sometimes from the same person! Given the apparent lateness of our arrival and to keep things simple we just opted for the Menu of the day which offered 3 Courses and a Carafe of Vin Rouge for â¬15 each which seemed like an absolute bargain!Having sampled it I can truly say it was. All along the service was extremely efficient, friendly and polite. For our lunch we each had a starter of course Pate with thick slices of French Bread of course. We then effectively had Steak & Chips but it came served with a kind of with braised onions that were absolutely delicious and the residue just cried out to be mopped up with another slice of bread. To finish we had a rather grand looking Chocolate covered pear served in what looked like a large flattened glass along with lashings of whipped cream. My wife had coffee and they indulged me with a Tea. During this time we discovered that the couple next to us were in fact English and had just moved into a property they had bought in the village. We passed a happy half an hour or so talking with them and although the restaurant had long since emptied by this stage the staff were more than happy to let us continue talking without making us feel uncomfortable or unwanted.Bonjour Toute l'Equipe de la brasserie vous remercie de votre gentil message.Au plaisir de vous revoir .La brasserie de l' étoile
