I was trying to find non-chain restaurant to enjoy for dinner with my family while on our little getaway. Looking for a place close to our hotel and I found Joeâs. Was very skeptical this was a tourist trap but quickly found out that locals love this place. Took a minute to be seated even though they were not busy. After we ordered, the food came out at a reasonable time. So I was certain my food was actually cooked and not nuked. Food was great and service was too. Definitely will add this our list of places to return to when we come back to the MS Gulf Coast.

We always make it a point to stop and have lunch at Tonyâs Brick Oven Pizzeria when visiting Gulfport, Mississippi. Truly you cannot beat their lunch special for $6.95 served Monday-Friday from 11:00am-2:00pm. The special consists of two slices of pepperoni pizza and a salad. The pizza crust and salad were delicious. Tonyâs Brick Oven Pizzeria is not a fine dining establishment but a simple place that allows you to enjoy pizza and the company of friends and family. We could not ask for anything more during our visit.

Let me first start off by saying that this restaurant is gorgeous. The location and grounds were well maintained and clean. The service was also excellent. We arrived on a Friday evening around 6:30 without reservations. We fully anticipated a 30-45 minute wait. To our surprise, even though they were busy, we were seated almost immediately. Our server was quick to take our drink orders and informed us about that evenings specials. My wife decided on the shrimp scampi Basilico and added the scallops. I am a veal parm fanatic so I opted for that. Our food arrived within 10 minutes and the presentation was excellent! Unfortunately, we were both disappointed in the taste of our entrees. The shrimp and scallops were cooked well, but the scampi sauce extremely bland. My wife commented that it tasted watered down. Almost as if when there was pasta water added. My veal was also properly cooked, but it was completely smothered in marinara. So much so that it caused the coating on the veal to be soggy. Mine also lacked the seasonings that I am accustomed to. Overall lack of seasoning on both dishes led to a disappointing experience.

We are a family owned and operated original pizzeria that believes in serving "The Best of the Best". We hand roll our own meatballs, make our own Lasagna and have created our signature Sarducci's Sauce for our pasta, meatballs and meatball subs. We use t
Had the ultimate pizza and it was excellent. Good crust, tasty sauce, right amount of cheese and good toppings. Then to set in above the normal pizza you get the topping were all the way to the edge of the pizza so you never had a bite without toppings, and the pizza was cut into move pieces so you didn't end up with those big slices you can't handle.Service was good and friendly. If a train goes by and blows whistle it's Whistle Stop $2 drafts.Pizza was waaaaaay better than the pizza over at Tony's!
