Lunes Y Martes Abrimos Solo En Tiempo De Vacaciones O Por Algun Puente Todos Los Platillos Son Echos Al Momento Entonces En Dias Festivo Buscaremos De Atenderlos Igual Rapido Solo Les Pedimos Un Poco De Paciencia
I never imagined that Italy could really come to central Mexico as I experienced today. We started off with the embutidos italianos, a plate of salumi, authentically Italian just like Clara from Valenza in Piedmont. Our waitress was Jenny, and she was marvelous. We had the Robalo in olive oil and garlic, and the spinach ravioli in nut sauce for our main course. Homemade pasta that was perfection. We then had the most delicious gorgonzola with bread and homemade peach marmalade. The Mexican wines from the region did not disappoint. And then we crowned it all off with the most delicious limoncello made by Clara and her daughter Monica...who is almost as delightful as her dear Momma. We will definitely return.Gracias que bueno que todo le gusto, fue un gusto averlo conocido y la platica tambienespero vernos prontosaludos Monica

Now, Marchello's is very, very good pizza. It was my favorite until i recently tried NanaPancha. There are more pizza restaurants in town than there were before, but NanaPancha is a true Italian style restaurant. A little expensive... in comparison to other places... The place is dark but that's OK. At least you can see your food! The servers are very attentive. Just a little invasive at times, but always right there when you need them.Beware! There's a LONG climb up steps to get to the restaurant. So, if you have bad knees or a disability that prohibits getting up to the restaurant, then call them to make a delivery to your hotel or rental unit. It's worth it.I paid by credit card. They don't tell you, but you find out after you've signed the credit card receipt, that you will be charged a fee for using an American credit card. This fee is about 6%. I didn't care, because the food was good. It says right on the receipt that they have explained this to you in advance, but that is exactly not true. The room is dark so you really can't see that fine print on the front of your receipt, and they never mention it. Not fair, but... what is fair in Mexico?I recommend it to those looking for an evening out on the town with a small group. Buen provecho!
Dolores Hidalgo Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Dolores Hidalgo
With 2 locations in Dolores, providing delivery, to-go orders or sit-down dining, you will be pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive and great tasting their pizza is. The last time I went to the smaller one on the square, we had the pineapple pizza special, which is a huge slice of pineapple pizza with pineapple soda. You can get chimichurri with the asking, and ketchup or salsa for added toppings. I like mine just the way it is. The location I am reviewing is the one up on Avenida Sur, with beautiful glass cylinder chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and a truly European look inside. There is room for about 25 people if I remember right... and when the church group took me there the first time, they kept ordering and ordering full pizzas... like a buffet... and 7 of us ate for about $25.00 (US$) including drinks. I was so impressed that I went back a number of times, and we have had the motorcycle pizza delivery service a great number of times over the years. The manager speaks perfect English, for my fellow Europeans, Aussies, Kannucks and Gringos... so you can converse if you don't know the language. If you have an hour to sit in an atmosphere that rivals the best Olive Garden or Pizza Hut in the US, and a taste for fantastic pizza, this is the place to go. They are right on the main drag between the cities of San Miguel and Guanajuato for those of you who are traveling between... and not too far from the best hotels in town.Just remember to tip the usual 10% to your friendly servers... they work hard.
Family operated, they've been in town for about 4 years. They opened the restaurant dining area only 3 years ago, and have room for about 60 people if they get busy. They also have a motorcycle delivery service that covers a wide area involving many of the colonies surrounding Dolores Hidalgo. There is a free-standing pizza carousel out front on the sidewalk that passers-by can order pizza-to-go, same as you can at the Marchello's location one block away on the town's central square. We've been ordering their pizza since they opened... picking it up or having it delivered. We've sat down to pizza inside a number of times, too, and are very happy with the service, the food, the value and the cleanliness. It's a little noisy for business meals but great for family outings. It's a "must-do visit" while you are in Dolores. They have a special value purchase that provides a large pizza for about $10US with several toppings on certain nights. It would be nice to see them with their own website so you can order from a mobile phone application. Maybe one day?
