I ate every single meal here while in Port Blair. Their white sauce mushroom pasta is one of the best I have ever had. I've also had the fish sizzler, mushroom burger, milkshakes, lemon drinks- which were all excellent. The pizza and fish fingers were good but I can't say they were the best. However, overall, I loved the place. Must eat while in Port Blair.

Having had a bit of hassle at our hotel, see my Andaman Residency review, we walked out this evening seeking a bite to eat. It was fairly late and we didn't walk far before we saw the signs for this place and thought why not, we only wanted something simple. On entering the place was clean but simple and there wasn't many people in there. Our first waiter struggled with the language before a more senior chap took over and he was perfect. He knew where we were from and he seemingly knew what we would like and recommended various things. All reasonably priced. I went for the Chicken Tandoori starter and then a mutton curry which I have forgotten the name of with pilau rice and nan bread. Well I got the surprise of my life as this food was beautiful. Extremely tasty and the mutton dish I could have sworn was an English style bhuna. I am not curry's greatest fan by a long stretch but this meal was wonderful. We washed the food down with a couple of lassi's and a milkshake and have to say the service was first class also. Having been in India for nearly two weeks by this stage and having stayed a further ten days afterwards this meal and service was the best by far. This place doesn't look much from the outside and seems fairly ordinary once you enter but I would have no qualms about recommending the service and food to anyone. Well done everyone at the Royal Palace. It's only a pity you didn't have a drinks licence so I could have finished off in style with a couple of bottles of Kingfisher.
