Hemos comido dos personas a mediodÃa , dos cañas cada uno, una ración de gambas cocidas de Huelva (14) muy ricas, luego una ensalada de patata cocida con melba, muy bien también,unos boquerones en vinagre muy buenos con pan con tomate, la bebida muy frÃa , rápido y buen servicio. Luego un cortado con hielo . Comida ligera y rápida en la misma playa. Hemos pagado 24 euros por todo. Recomendable.

Having walked the entire length of the promenade at Matalascanas, it was time to seek out an eatery for a well-deserved lunch. To our detriment, we had not done our TA research so we used the 'does it look busy?' method to decide where to eat. My wife and I went for the 'gourmet' menu at 18 euros which turned out to be an exaggeration. Our waiter was very accommodating in moving us to another table when one in the sun became available. I had tortillitas which were rather greasy and my wife had tiny shellfish, which she enjoyed. Mains were the pork fillet and beef, both served with a few chips. The beef was served quite rare - just about on the cooked side of still alive. We had potted desserts to finish - chocolate and cheese. These were OK. One particularly off putting feature of our meal was the arrival of main course before the starters were finished. We were not alone in this occurrence. Dress code was very beach - but considering the location, perhaps this should be expected. When it came to getting the bill this proved to be something of a challenge, but the staff were pretty busy at the time.
