Just back from the Tatra mountains in Slovakia where the scenery was beautiful, the people friendly but the restaurants not so good particularly if you're not a lover of sheeps cheese. My wife and I wanted to treat ourselves and the kids to some really high quality Czech cuisine. We were eating after 2100 on a Sunday night which can be a challenge to find a kitchen open at that hour. Found this place ( kitchen open till 2200), remembered the good reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. Pure class. 1930s elegance with gentle background music. Great waiter with perfect English. Food absolutely superb (I had the venison with a rose hip or cranberry sauce - simply wonderful). Kids were pleased with their meals also. House red (Dornfelder) top class too. And the bill was very fair and reasonable for Dutch a high quality place. Can't recommend it enough - check it out yourself!

During a visit back home in the Czech Republic, we received a gift certificate for some wellness in Augustiniansky Dum Hotel and a dinner at the restaurant from my family. It is a nicely designed restaurant with good food--even though very pricey for the region--and attentive service. The place, food, and service are at the level of hight quality fine dining. The only negative thing I can think of were some of the other diners. Many people in the room were not dressed appropriately for the place (designer sneakers--but still sneakers, jeans, T-shirts, casual "beach" dresses) and some behaved like they were eating in a pub. It was not the restaurant's fault, but took away from the dining experience.

We did to-go experience twice and were satisfied. I cannot comment sit-in aspects. In our cases the service was very helpful and nice, it was easily possible to agree on making choices and combinations not listed in the menu. Second day we even just phoned in advance what we wanted and simply collected and paid the food on agreed time. Quality and quantity was OK. WHen we wanted something which was really not possible to have the personnel advised us on alternative options.

We were traveling from Prague to Slovakia passing by Uhersky Brod, thinking about place to eat and we found this amazing restaurant! Very nice service, waiter was nice and kind and food was amazing! Absolutely recommend !
