As long as you get a table outside, this is an enchanting and glamorous restaurant with good food and service. Only weak dish was the risotto, poorly executed (wine not cooked off, not risotto rice) but definitely a pleasurable evening for couples and families alike. Doubles up as a yacht club so on some evenings you have to finish by 10 pm or crash the party!

Open only in season, owned by a fun fellow who keeps undercharging us and telling us "I am no businessman". Cuisine is far above a taverna, he lovingly prepares it all with his friend. No reservations, just stop by and h'e'll hold a table of you. We stayed in Kaminia about 100 meters away, so Pirofina became our fave place for dinner. Cost for four with wine, dessert, and tip is an bout â¬100-120, an amazing deal. Live guitar and Greek chorus on one night, with some dancing. All outside, of course. Just reopened for this summer in late May. Believe me, no one in Hydra has heard of this place!!

This is a no frills place near the port that serves delicious traditional taverna food at reasonable prices. We had a simple roasted chicken in lemon sauce that was very nice. A good view of the port and a pleasant breeze - what more can you want?
