Kathmandu

If you're looking for Indian food I would not recommend the Kathmandu. In my opinion their food (Nepalese and Indian) is very much adjusted to the likings of the French. Also, being allergic to milkproducts, there is not much choice as almost every dish has been prepared using milk, crème fraiche or cheese. When I say almost every dish, that includes the rice. Rice!!!The service is very friendly and accomodating, but your spend quite some time waiting for your food to be served. Also the acoustics in the place are pretty bad, so when there are a lot of people it is hard to hear each other when you're with a small group. If you need an Indian restaurant in Valence I would rather recommend the Shalimar (center of Valence) or the Darjeeling (Bourg-les-Valence). Both also offer take-out!

Went there for a quick diner with friends, after coming once a few years back. The food is good, especially knowing that this might be the only indian place in Valence. Quantities are also appreciable. The service is let's say okay, the place itself is too crowded and you have to wait a bit too long until someone gets your order and to be served. If you are craving for indian food, head there and you won't be disappointed. If you are just searching for a place to have diner with friends in the center, there are plenty others much nicer.
