We ordered takeaway pizzas. They were amazing! The toppings were not only truly delicious but extremely generous. My fussy 8 year old niece declared spontaneously that her chicken and barbecue sauce pizza was the best pizza she had ever eaten. That was not only a dramatic declaration but even more so because she had been persuaded to abandon her obsession of only ordering Margarita pizza.This pizza place beats the chains by miles!

The balance of flavours in the dishes are perfect. It can be a bit on the pricey side, but worth the money. There is an English barrier with the wait staff at times. If your dining in in warmer weather, request the back room. I saw people walk out and not finish their meal because it was too hot in the front part of the restaurant. Still, a very nice place to go for food and service.

Visited with family while staying just up the road. What a great little place! The staff were friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. The food was beautiful, cooked just perfect. The cheese naan was a big hit! Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

On first entering the restaurant I thought the meal would be ho hum as the decor is very simple and the restaurant presented itself, to me anyway, as more of a takeaway place. I couldn't be further from the truth.The food is absolutely delicious and the service excellent. Our waitress was very helpful and the chef/owner came out on a few occasions to see if we were satisfied.I won't bother with looking for more upmarket Indian Restaurants in Newcastle and Maitland, I'll be coming back to Zaffron.
