Coriander calls itself a restaurant of modern Indian cuisine and it is reflected in the menu. There are many traditional dishes but also a lot of interesting twists with new flavors and combinations. The decor is pleasant and the room is not noisy. Service was friendly but sloppy and that was really our only complaint about the place, though they did try hard to make up for the service slips. I will probably give them another try.

New to Indian food I stopped in on a rainy evening. I received a friendly greeting and the courtesy and friendliness was extended by all the staff I met. They were kind in talking me through their menu and each dish was packed with flavor. While I can't compare this to any other place I will say give this cuisine a try and Coromandel will make it a pleasant experience.

I had the opportunity to dine here with a friend. We ordered the Chicken soup, Chicken Tikka Garlic Naan, Tandoori Shrimp as well as 2 glasses of house red wine and it was all very good , but the portions are small. The Staff was very curious and attentive.

This place is a gem for so many reasons. The food was authentic and delicious. The service was outstanding. The decor was authentic, as well. The place is accessible from both Mamaroneck Avenue and Phillips Park Road (the road running parallel but behind Mamaroneck Ave). Parking is easier on Phillips if it's a busy night. If you access from Mamaroneck Ave., you must walk down a long flight of stairs. Access from Phillips is no big deal, and feels nicer. Plus there is outside seating there, and it's peaceful. So, 4 of us dined family style in that we ordered a few plates and shared. We had the cauliflower appetizer, which was amazing. I've never had anything like it. We had a lamb dish, an eggplant dish, a chicken dish, a rice dish...it was all flavorful and delicious. We had no room for dessert, but that menu looked great, as well. The servers and manager are so friendly and welcoming. They offer take out, which I'd also consider. It's moderately priced for very good sized portions. Check out their web site to see the menu.
