For over 10 years weâve been satisfying Kirkland residents with superb Indian food, in a spacious, yet cozy environment, bringing the best Indian dishes, spices & spirits to enjoy. Our restaurants are family-friendly & we host many parties for personal as
After looking at TripAdvisor recommendations we took a short drive to the Royal India. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, although we opted for takeaway food. Having had some great curries in London, Iâm always hesitant on Indian food abroad. We werenât disappointed. Although expensive, the food was authentic & very tasty. Probably the best curry Iâve had outside the uk.

If you're looking to try something different in the Indian food scene, try this.Great south Indian food including delicious dosa. Tea, soda and a half dozen beer options are available. The format is very casual. Order at the counter and seat yourself at plastic tables. There isn't an a lot of seating and it can get busy around dinner time. There seems to be a healthy takeout business as well.

"Sitar Indian Cuisine is the first authentic Indian cuisine in Kirkland, WA serving authentic North Indian, Tandoori and Mughlai dishes. Warm setting, friendly service and traditional curries."
Our first visit revealed some great dishes and some room for improvement. The naan was outstanding - baked just right, nice and chewy. The tandoori chicken was not served on a sizzling platter, which meant the vegetables accompanying the chicken were raw (but the chicken was excellent). The mysore masala dosa was outstanding - a large crepe served along with spiced potato stuffing and several condiments to dress it up - delectable. The baigan bharta (eggplant) was well prepared but underspiced. It seemed that they were a bit understaffed, as we had to get their attention to order, but they were very nice and helpful. We'll go again and order a bit differently.
