Reviews on Healthy food in Valletta, Island of Malta, Malta. Founded in 1565 by the Order of St John as a refuge for soldiers returning from the Crusades, Valletta is now the capital of Malta and a piece of living history. With an unsurpassed collection of original Baroque architecture, fortified city walls overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and the spectacular Co-Cathedral of St John, which features intricately carved stone vaults and a famed painting by Caravaggio, it is no wonder that this smallest of European capital cities is a world heritage site.

You know the food is good when the queue is out the shop and onto the street. It is worth standing in line and working out what you will have. This sassy salad bar has the best freshest salads, generous portions and well priced. I chose 4 salads; a vegan mexican rice and bean salad, a cummin and tumeric coleslaw, a quinoa salad, and one other. All delicious. I completely recommend this joint. The food is distinctive and nothing is deep fried!
