It is the geographic center of the Old Garden of Alicante. Its limits are with the settled areas of Alicante (7 km), Mutxamel (1 km) and El Campello (3 km). Its population growth is due to its function as a bedroom community, as well as in recent years, its isolation from tourist areas, its cultural and academic activities, and because has part of the campus of the University Miguel Hernández of Elx/Elche. It comprises two zones: the town of Sant Joan and Benimagrell, which is now joined through its urban expansion.

The food, atmosphere and staff are so good that I came back again. This is our favorite restaurant in San Juan, the place we always return to because its simply the the best in the neighborhood! The menu is somewhat limited but they always have something new to offer off the menu. The quality of the food is flawless, especially the fish, one always leave Al Oleo feeling satisfied and not overly full, and with money left in the pocket. Look no further if you want good quality food in San Juan playa.Thanks for the words, it's wonderfull listen from our guest goods words, and the most important for us, that you enjoy in our restaurant, we are woorking each day to improve in our woork. Itâs a cosy and warm little restaurant run by a very friendly couple! The menu is not too big and everything is very nice. The red parmigiana and the bolognese panzerotti are just delicious!! Strongly recommend if you want change from the classic Spanish tapas.
