This lovely stop boasts great local beer and a light lunch made of various cheeses and hams. The couple that run the place are extremely welcome and friendly but the friendliest member of the staff is their dog Gaia who greets you at the door and encourages you to come inside.We plan to visit again when we repeat the walk.Thanks for your comment! Made a reservation, arrived 10 mins early to be told âyouâre too earlyâ even though the table was free and ready? So we waited outside for 10 minutes being polite.10 minutes on, weâre shown our table, then waited another 40 minutes (in a non busy restaurant) before a waiter came over to take our drinks & food order. His opening line was âAre you ready, good, because Iâm now ready for youâ. If we wasnât with a hungry 2 & 3 year old, I would have happily told him to stick his reservation just on the basis of that line. Waited a further 25 mins with no drinks so gave him a nudge to which he said, apologises I forgot to confirm the order? However once the food arrived it was top notch. Steak entrecôte with truffle was delicious! Worst customer service experience ever received! Shame it outweighs the experience of the food.Go, but be prepared to wait and be talked down too. Hello, sorry for the inconvenience but I don't see what is so terrible in that story ? Mistakes happen and my waiter, from what I can read, had a good behavior.You waited a little, service was a bit long, food was awesome, you were waiting around a nice table with your loved ones... is that so terrible ?On the other hand I see only one person behind rude... but hey, who am I to judge ? Hoping to see you again to change your mind.
