Restaurant/Museum in an old railway station/spa, depending on how far you want to go back in time. The owner is delightfully nuts. The place is overflowing with tons of curious junk. We ate here in late summer and sat outside in the beautiful gardens. The food is innovative Italian cuisine which has obviously been prepared with care and thought using the best ingredients. We started out with a chickpea soup and grilled peppers and followed with crespelle (like crêpes) made from chestnut flour and stuffed with pumpkin and ricotta. The wine selection is good with lots of local choices. The service was rather slow but that wasn't much of a problem as we were relaxing in the beautiful surroundings!

Well, who would not be impressed with the view from this great restaurant. Merano and its surrounding mountains seem to be at your feet. We eat on the sun kissed Terrence enjoying a lovely early autumn lunch.Our food was delicate and very tasty. I had the troffiette with mushrooms and cheese and my partner the pasta with veal ragout and truffles. The Apfestrudel desert with homemade vanilla ice cream was lovely too. Great wine selection by the glass. It is not a cheap eat, but it is well worth it.
