For a lunchtime visit at the end of May we could have expected to be sitting outside looking at Zugersee, but no, heavy rain sent us inside hoping for soup on the menu! Well, the lunchtime menu offered soup or self-service salad and bread plus a main meal for just over Chf 20, one of us had saffron/courgette risotto and the other had chicken and mushroom tagliatelle. The portion size was more than adequate and the food was very, very good.In addition the service was great, very friendly and helpful. All in all a very successful outing, with drinks and for around CHF 60.

We were at the Cafe Plaza for a quick lunch. It was on a holiday the really only restaurant (except kebab) which was open. The staff was very pleasent. The food very tasty. I can really recommend the lasagne. Every meal looked good and it seemed to me that the quality of the ingredients was quite high. They claim also on the card that most of their meals are bio.If you live near to cham, this restaurant is worth a visit! Go for a spot outside on the terrace.

My family and I went here for a spontaneous dinner on a week night. After a pre-dinner cocktail on the outdoor terrace, overlooking the beautiful Reuss valley, we were called to our table. Our party enjoyed some great fresh tuna, beef and veal dishes. The children had a very yummy tasting pork 'schnitzel' with french fries that were very tasty indeed. Desert consisted of ice cream all round! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, the food is good, the service is very friendly. The restaurant is located on the outskirts of Hunenberg, very quaint and pretty. Plenty of parking available. The wine list is rather young, as the owners only took over the restaurant two years ago.
