Hawaiian Poke Bowl

I went to the Hawaiian Poke Bowl a few years back when I was in St. George for a school related competition with some of my classmates and remember it being really good, which was surprising for a land locked state. Now, 4 years later, I came back and the food is just as good as I remember it being. Great marinades and healthy portions to keep you full. It is an establishment that deserves the high praise it gets. This restaurant gets busy fast, but that is the sign of a great establishment.

You know food brings up memories faster than anything else and if you have been to Hawaii, this place will bring back those memories. Very authentic food. Great wait staff. I had the Honolulu Burger which was outstanding. My wife had the Hawaiian plate which had a little bit of everything. Luau chicken, short ribs, macaroni salad, pulled port, and rice. I tried the macaroni salad and it was so good. My parents had the teriyaki chicken and they really liked it. They even have spam and eggs on the menu so you know this is authentic.

Island Grinds

As a former Hawaii resident I have to admit that this is definitely Ono Grinds. It is run by Polynesians from Hawaii who know their stuff. Be sure to get the Pupu Chicken with a side of their homemade teriyaki sauce for dipping. It is fantastic.

We went there last Saturday. My choice was the Kahuna Burger - two USDA choice ground beef patties with grilled pineapple lettuce tomato, and mayo. Excellent. My companion went with the Luau Pork Sandwich. She raved about the tangy Kahuku BBQ sauce.Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely go back.
