Haven't been here for a couple of years but have to ask myself why because it provides a great selection of seafood at reasonable prices. A nice atmosphere with an open fire and good service. We had the paella and a grouper cataplana with prawns and clams. Both were excellent. Good choice of wines as well. Dish of the day starters were also good.So well worth eating here if you are in Milfontes.

Visited one night for dinner and enjoyed a plate with tasty sardinhas grelhadas (came with potatoes, vegetables and salad). Vegetable soup as a starter.Whoever had prepared sardines himself knows how difficult it is to get these small fishes exactly right. This evening I must say - these were prepared by a master just to the right point: Well done inside and still juicy, outside not burnt at all even though they were grilled on charcoal (in many restaurants you get them in some parts black and burnt) and the meat was easily separating from the bones and skin. I have eaten sardinhas grelhadas in many places across Portugal, and this experience is rare! Also the stock of the cooked vegetables on the plate was very tasty and was a very aromatic alternative, as opposed to those restaurants which put only a lot of olive oil on the plate. The traditional soup was rich of flavors from the vegetables and among the best I've eaten so far.Service was attentive and friendly.Yes, I would go again and also would recommend it to friends.(This restaurant was reopened by a new owner and with a new team a couple of months ago I was told. but they kept the same name as before and it is a quite traditional address, I remember that I have eaten there in 2007 already)
