New tapas bar just in front of the national roman museum and teatro romano.Ingredients are just from around the corner, regional food cooked by a local chef. The ibericos tapas are really tasty and from 100% iberico pork. Regarding the more thorough dishes I would recommend the tapa with prawn, jamón and quail egg over a potato base. This mix is just unquestionably tasty. Moreover, solomillo mit torta d la serena cheese is delicious for the queseros (cheese lovers). Please, do not forget the desserts. They are so big you cannot eat by your own, and the taste... my goodness! My favourite is the cheese cake and the chocolate one.Regional shots are welcome after that kind of feast. Talking about wines, I would say that let you be recommeded by the experts. Try only the huge assortment of the regional wines from D.O. Ribera del Guadiana.I will definitely came back!Desde la casona queremos agradecerle su opinión. Muchas gracias por compartir con nosotros un ratito de su valioso tiempo. Estaremos encantados de recibirlos siempre con los brazos abiertos. Un saludo y millones de gracias de nuevo.

You avoid rundown, desolate industrial parks, when looking for a restaurant, right? Even if it is only a couple of minutes from the centre of town by car, right? You always want to avoid crowded narrow bars with people stuffing themselves with free tapa's with their drinks, right? So they don't have to spend money on a full meal, in a cosy but noisy restaurant behind a far away ominous looking door, right? You feel that Spaniards in their natural habitat, must be avoided at all cost, right? You are of the arrogant opinion that all foreigners have a duty to the world at large to speak English, right? Lovely! Then we shall never meet in this Méson, which only deserves to serve their lovely, down to earth regional food to those who would have responded to all of the above with a heartfelt "WRONG". Stewed oxtail, delicate pisto, stewed lentils with veg, dried cod and other down to earth, well executed local dishes are on the menu. Good wines, reasonably priced, as well as ample set luncheon choices (at under a tenner incl. drink, starter and desert plus coffee) are a daily item. I schedule my travels in this part of Spain around the times lunch is served here and sometimes I stay in the (good) hotel only a 10 minute walk away. They speak better English than I speak Spanish, but have proven to have a perfect understanding of vinger pointing, thumbs up gestures, rubbing of the stomach and, most of all smiley faces, even if a wrong or misunderstood dish ends up on the table.

Next to the monumental city of Mérida and fast access is located HOYO 19. On the golf course Don Tello and with a quiet environment, surrounded by nature and beautiful views. We like to call our cuisine "honored", conserving the flavor, texture and all th
Cuando visitas un restaurante buscas un entorno agradable y cómodo, trato profesional y, por supuesto, productos de calidad; buscas disfrutar tanto con la vista y el olfato, como con el sentido del gusto. Pues todo ello se consigue en este restaurante. Cocina y servicio a otro nivel. Enhorabuena.

We sat in the restaurant part but I also believe that the cafe has the same or close menu. We were actually given the cafe menu as it had pictures which facilitated the ordering process. My sons 12⬠lunch was very good and my 7⬠chicken brochette was just so so, as the meat was rubbery although the grilled vegetables were excellent. Bread comes with and my assumption is that lunch and dinner are from the same menu.
