i stumbled on this lovely restaurant in Fukuoka @ the Parco department store B1. We actually had intended to dine at one of the Yatai stalls that evening, but the weather was appalling and it seemed that the particular stall didn't open. Anyway, we were fortunate enough to try the restaurant and had their famous Hamburger steak and Wagyu style steaks as well. The meal was excellent, absolutely loved the whole DIY bbq concept. The meats were well seasoned and came with a choice of dipping sauces. We went for the standard bbq sauce and a Ponzu one as well. I only noticed this place as it was the only restaurant that had a constant queue. I know the japanese like to queue, but this was WELL worth it!!!!! It's worth mentioning that there are a chain of these restaurants dotted around, not sure exactly where, as the website is in Japanese, but would assume that it could be found in other major cities like Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant to us, and helped making reservation. We dined at the third floor teppanyaki table and the service was typically good. We were provided English and Chinese menu, and most staffs spoke passable English. We chose a 13,000 JPY set and there was a choice of loin and fillet for our beef, and they allowed us to split it among the six of us. They even served us that way. Both chefs were efficient and paid attention to details. The food was great including the seafood dish. I like the cooked vegetable salad. It was a good start to our Fukuoka/Kyushu trip

The place is small with teppanyaki misono style of Japanese cooking. We chose to eat ribeye with rice medium . Their cooking style was perfect, well cook on the outside and red in he inside, making it so tender. The only problem I have is the long line to get in the the cooking smell afterward as the place is small. Price is reasonable for this type of beef.

This restaurant serves excellent grilled Wagyu beef. Best part about restaurant was that there is an English menu and the waitress that served us spoke reasonably good English. Ordered the tenderloin, beef chunk sukiyaki, short ribs and chuck flaps and you can choose from 4 different marinates. I loved the beef chuck sukiyaki marinated with soy sauce which is paired with egg yolk when grilled. I highly recommend this place for Yakiniku :)
