Small family run local jerk and seafood restaurant, Good Prices, Great Food..Proprietor Lenial Ennis is very pleasant host.
We recently stayed at the Rock House Negril. We wanted to venture out for some local food. We ended up at Murphyâs. If you want very good local Jamaican cuisine, donât miss out on Murphyâs! Food was excellent, may I suggest the curry octopus. It had excellent taste, and the octopus was prepared perfectly. It literally meted in your mouth. The prices were fair. Do not go there if youâre in a rush! Itâs Jamaica and they are on Jamaican time. The food is prepared fresh. There isnât a constant flow of customers so food is prepared when ordered. Also, they may not have all the items on the menu. They canât afford to keep unlimited supplies because of the flow of patrons. Therefore, they may be out of some items. Itâs Jamaica Mon. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because of this. As far as Jamaican stars itâs a 5 star. Donât miss out

We have never eaten here although we have walked by it for years. My brother has stayed at the resort at Coco for many years, and said it was just okay. Well, Iâm glad we ended up trying it! It is a very pretty restaurant on the beach and is decorated beautifully with all sorts of lights. Itâs not an inexpensive restaurant by any means, but we knew that coming in and were fine with that. Service was better than average for JA- Todd did a fantastic job. We were started off with a few different types of bread and butters which we enjoyed a lot. My daughter and I got two orders of bruschetta and two orders of fried bammy to share. Bammy is a bread type thing thatâs made of ground cassava root (seriously no clue...) and is deep fried. It is blow your socks off amazing!!! I had the Chicken Alfredo fettuccini which I loved and reheated the leftovers the next day for lunch. My hubby had the coconut crusted snapper with rice, and thought everything was seasoned beautifully and cooked correctly. My daughter had some sort of scotch bonnet butter rice and loved hers. We ended up taking 2 slices of key lime pie home which we very much enjoyed the next day. We all say Go! You wonât be disappointed!!!

Hotel, Bar & Restaurant where you can relax, enjoy one of the best sunsets in the world, have an ice cold drink & listen to some great music 7 nights a week, all on the beach! (Monday, Thursday & Saturday are live reggae and we have a DJ the other 4 night
Not many places were open on Sunday night in the off season and our driver dropped us off at Bourbon Beach. There was a DJ playing, which we liked. The restaurant was dark and the lights were broken/inoperable, so a waiter put candles at our table. There were very few non alcoholic drink selections for tourists and nothing at all diet. Our food took more than one hour to be served, which is slow even in Jamaica. Our server was friendly and we did have a good time, but it might not suit families with children (ours are older and adults). It appears more for party folks.
