This restaurant and guest house is open in spring and summer months. Great place to start or end a walk. Food excellent. We had venison, which was brilliantly cooked. Reasonable cost starter plus main course (three people plus drink 115 swiss francs ( about £27/ head. Remember this is right in the middle of stunning countryside so you are paying for view as wellEven if you do not eat here good place to walk

This is an isolated restaurant on the road between Sargans and Walenstadt. It has two rooms for dining which are simple but comfortable. It has a limited but original menu and everything we ate, especially the freshwater fish was fresh and very well prepared and presented. The wine list was not extensive but had a great selection of Swiss and European wines, with many choices by the glass. The service was impeccable.
