This place has a very enthusiastic chef and the food, staff and ambience work very well. However the gents toilets let the the whole experience down.Whoever cleans the toilets should look behind the toilet door, really sorry but itâs unforgivable to have this kind of filth on show.

Lovely pub with a good sized restaurant, Service very good. However, the food was very average, not sure whether the cook had been to the Caribbean but it seemed a very Anglicised version of what it should be.I had goat curry which was fairly tasteless pieces of meat in a bland brown gravy, did not look or taste very appealing. My wife had red snapper which frankly could have been any fish in batter. It was our first visit, and after some reviews we have had from friends disappointing.Suggest they stick to what they know, which I am sure is very good.

Temporarily Closed due to Major Renovation will reopen in February 2018
Have eaten here previously and was always good. Last night (Fri 25/10/19) 4 of us met there. Two ordered the roast cod. when meal arrived, broccoli was under cooked and virtually inedible. Staff apologised and said would bring out more, but it never arrived. Manageress offered us free drinks to compensate, but actually only reduced bill by £5.i had beer battered haddock. Fish was good, but chips had obviously stood and been re-heated. Mushy peas would have fitted in a small egg cup. Never going there again

The food is good and the price is right! Hake was perfectly cooked and lamb shoulder, tender and tasty and one smaller portion, which is very useful for a smaller appetite. Just over £60 for three of use, including drinks which I think is very reasonable for quality food.
