We visited this gastropub on several occasions over s weekend trip. The menu is varied, local and very informative - their allergen information is far superior to anything I've seen in Ireland. The quality of food is excellent, with good portion sizes and value for money. However, the service is slow. The servers are well decked out in black aprons and white shirts but that's where the standards stop. You are showed to a table by a manager but that seems to be all he does. There seems to be no expeditor or leader in the pub. We were there on a busy Sunday afternoon and it seemed a bit chaotic. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Thank you Shane for taking the time to leave your feedback following your recent dining experience in Shannigans and thank you for your wonderful comments regarding our menu. I do apologise that you did not experience our normally high standards of service which many other reviews testify to. I do hope we have the chance to welcome you back again in the near future. Kind Regards, Nico Hernandez,General Manager

The Old Lodge Gastro pub in Shannon is the epitome of a traditional Irish bar both in décor and ambience and is very popular with both guests and locals alike. We serve gastro pub style food including delicious sandwiches, soup and dish of the day etc. fr
Ate at this restaurant tonight despite looking up on line and seeing special offers none were on the menu tonight....not a problem with us. We had cannelloni stuffed with cheese and spinach which was tasteless the sauce that it came in was lovely. My partner had the hake (which was tiny) came on a bed of tasteless puy lentils and topped with two tough camalari dont know what happened to the spinach veloute no sign on plate. Meal was bland and overpriced. Thought staff lovely and professional couldnt fault...wont be back.Dear shannon90Thank you for taking the time to review us. Dined on a busy Saturday night and was fortunate to sit next to a great local couple who we talked to all through dinner. Ribs were great as recommended to us by our new local friends. Pub is lively and busy but staff comes by regularly and makes sure you have enough to drink and eat. Enjoyed our dinner.

In the heart of the bustling town of Ennis, Knox's is an enduringly popular local pub and bistro with an engaging and convivial atmosphere, establishing it as one of the most popular venues for nightlife and entertainment. Exposed stone and brickwork and
Bar and bar food downstairs evening restaurant upstairs.Started in the but an extremely noisy group using foul language shortened our stay.Really surprised that bar staff did not ask them to tone it down given the expletive content. We returned later to the restaurant and had a superb meal as expected.Always good and be back again soon.
