Moved into the area so decided to give them a try for dinner one night. Definitely not at the top of my list to return too! I have heard that the food is good, but unfortunately when the preference is given to a fast food chain over them, they are missing the plot! In addition to the food being underwhelming, we also found that the staff were not very friendly, bordering on rude. We are always on the look for a new & interesting breakfast venue.We were told about Si Cantina Sociale by some friends & decided to give it a go, situated in the Silo distric of Cape Town.As we walked in we were greated by this charming & smiling waiter called Elton, thank you.We were seated in a cubicle & placed our order, loved Elton's bantering.The coffee & food was great, this place will see us again, loved everything about this place including an incredibly beautiful huge mural.If you are ever in the Silo distric of Cape Town & looking for a great eatery, this is it.To the management and staff thank you for a great experience.Kind regardsFerdie Liebenberg Thank you for your kind words, Ferdie_Liebenberg! I booked a table as recommended and thank goodness because it filled up fast! With such a lovely menu it was difficult to decide, the hostess recommendations were selected and we enjoyed the perfect pork belly with extra spinach (indulgent!) and the Confit chicken which is impossibly delicious. There was no space for dessert so will have to go back!

I recently stayed at the Hippo Boutique Hotel in Capetown. Our breakfasts were included at Jerryâs restaurant next door. Wow! The breakfasts were huge! Ample portions of eggs,bacon,tomatoes,mushrooms and toast. Americano coffee with warm milk was heavenly. We later returned for a burger and they were over the top! Such friendly smiles and great service. A must to visit.
