I live just over a block away from Giza Bar and Restaurant and so watched with interest as the place was slowly built and fitted out. I’ve now been several times and tried several items on the menu including mutton kebabs, salmon steak, Spanish seafood fried rice and curried giant freshwater prawn. A surprise for me as a Brit’ was honey roasted corned beef. Nothing like the tinned corned beef I was expecting. This was real meat and it was great. Not cheap, but thus far I’ve never been disappointed.

Good food. Cannot categorize as excellent. The food is average and have little burmese touch in the food. All the tables are empty as it is new in town. So dont expect people, limit ur expectations upto food only (drinks unavailable). Good to give a try. If you are looking for authentic indian taste , there are other options available.

Not only is this place the cutest building I've seen in Mandalay, the barista makes an amazing flat white. I'm picky about my coffee and I had to stop myself from ordering a 3rd because it was so good. Their dessert is good, although a bit pricey. Food is pretty good; it's a small menu but that usually means consistently done well.

One & Only Fine Dining

The quality of the food my friend and I had here was excellent, as was the presentation. The ambience was fine, given that this restaurant is trying to achieve a high- class contemporary atmosphere. My one observation regarding the ambience was the lighting - far too bright to achieve any sense of intimacy or romance. However, from experience O know that this what S.E. Asians prefer, and on the night we were there, the clientele were mainly affluent Asian. The cost for the meal was expensive by regional standards, but we this included a bottle of wine, a three course meal, and our main course was Australian steak (delicious, tender and cooked to perfection!). The service was excellent - if anything it was over-attentive. Conclusion: All-in-all a great restaurant. I recommend it to all foodies!
