It is 200 km (120 mi) south of Ecuador's capital Quito and located at 2754 m on the Avenue of the Volcanoes. The city is an important regional transport center as well as being a stop on the Pan-American Highway that runs through Ecuador. We stopped by for lunch during a long road trip and we were so happy with the food and service! The chef made a recommendation for a small change to one of the orders and it was an excellent choice. There were six of us and we ordered many things - chicken, pork, seafood, etc. Everything was wonderful; my pork chop was the most tender I have ever had! The chef was so friendly and even came to our table to check on us. We had a nice conversation with him after our meal. We are very happy that we stopped here for lunch. If you get the chance, you should try... I don't think you'll be disappointed!

We enjoyed an early evening of waiting for a friend's arrival. Great foccacia sandwiches and fries. The staff was quite accommodating and friendly, lighting up heaters for our warmth. We really liked the decor and the creative approach to some of the dishes. Terrific music on the playlist.Thanks for your visit.
