The view from the Goldes is really great, but unfortunately I cannot say the same thing about the food. First of all, the restaurant offers from pasta to fish, not really knowing what they want to be good on, diversity does not allow it to focus and to be good on something. As starter we ordered a meat carpaccio, which was quite good. I ordered the special meat cooked for 45 hours, the taste of the wine used to cook it was too strong and spoiled the dish. My wife ordered a fish, which was very salty, she couldnât eat it. The kindness of the manager was remarkable and he apologized for the mistake and didnât charge for the dish. " We want to satisfy our clients and we are able to offer is special receipts from all over the world. Our passion for more than 30 years is cooking Mediterranean but also Thai food. And the "special meat" named Brasato AL BAROLO is cooked in Redwine for "just" 4 hours - not 45 ... but apart from this, we learned to cook it in Italy, where the taste also confirms the name - but not everyone likes a strong red wine, but Unfortunatly you didn`t told me that when we offered it to you. In fact, we get from about 95% of the guests praise for this dish, and we believe this is a good result.For the salty fish Ialready apologized, offered another dish and deducted it from the bill.It is like that: you always can try your best, with passion and love - but it never will be good enough for everybody.. that's life.Greetings, Matthias Golde

Very nice place, Very good food but a terrible service. We had to wait for 1h30min. We asked the desert and we wait for 20 min to be informed that the desert we choose was not available. They had everything to be a great place but this kind of service don't make me feel good to recommend the place to any friend.

We first visited Camamo (two stars in the Quatro Rodas Brasilian travel guide/Best Restaurant in the NE of Brasil) five or six years ago. The restaurant is in the home of the owner, a well know journalist. It's quite simply incomprable to any other restaurant.Only 8 guests are booked on any one evening. You are picked up by car from your hotel at 9:00 p.m. When you arrive at the country home the drive is lined with torches. The staff is waiting for you at the foot of the steps. The house is a glow with hundreds of candles (replaced if one goes out all evening). Guests meet the owner and the staff the are encouraged to view the collection of art and primitives from around the globe. Just charming. After the cocktail hour you are asked to select your wine from a small but wonderful list (top price was $125). The meal is true fusion, all the chefs choice, each of 7 courses well explained and served in a simple inventive fashion. Mostly includes fish and shell fish from the nearby lagoon. Come prepared to enjoy your tablemates in a leisurely fashion....come with those you love. Around midnight you are shuttled back to your hotel in a state of nivrvana. Nina is the wife of Camamo and can share details of what to due in this wonderful unspoiled corner of Brasil. Dinner and wine for two (comp cocktail) was just under $300.
