Restaurant Toca is owned by Italian Finnish family and it offers lunch and dinner made with fresh and seasonal ingredients mostly from Finland but also from the rest of the world. The restaurant has only 24 seats so it's better to book a table for dinner
I reserved in advance...essential but it is a small and cozy restaurant. The whole evening didnât disappoint. I opted for the 5 course menu with matching wines. Food was superb (mushroom dish was amazing) whilst the Italian wines were all spot on. As a solo diner I was never made to feel âleft outâ...which can sometimes happen. The service was unbeatable. Elinaâs attention and knowledge of dishes/wines was first class. She was a joy to speak to. Toca has a relaxing and welcoming ambience...a lesson to any restaurant. Helsinkiâs best restaurant? It is for me!Thank you Andy, it was my plesure to talk with you and I warmly wellcome you to come back next time you are in Helsinki!- Elina

Such a nice and delicious place to have dinner at! I went with a friend and we shared several dishes. The value for money is excellent especially that the dishes are full of colour and aromatic spices. The furniture (chairs, wall paper, sofas) used in the restaurant are very dark coloured and the lights are very dim which makes it slightly too dark, however this does not take away the enjoyment when eating these Asian dishes. If I am back in Helsinki I would not hesitate to go again!

Hills Dumplings seems to be quite popular right now. Encouraged by the good reviews we booked a table. But it became a disappointment. The quality of the food was very unstable. Whereas pork dumplings "new school", the tofu noodles and vege dumplings "Helsinki" tasted great, the duck portion was mostly a huge pile of tasteless vermicelli and the fish dumpling was swimming in a strange green curry type of sauce. The side dish lotus was no success either. The interior of Hills Dumplings was promising. But we were "welcomed" to the restaurant by an unhappy waitress with no hint of smile. During the dinner we would have wanted to order more drinks but no staff around. After the main course we wanted have a dessert/coffee etc. but no staff visible. In the end we got irritated by this lack of attention and decided just to pay and leave.

Our inspiration comes from Peru, where the food is really fresh and the flavors are strong and rich. The "Nikkei" tradition mixes the cuisine of Peru with east Asian, specifically Japanese, ingredients, add to this a few Spanish influences and we came up
Went to Pastor with a couple of friends and was slightly disappointed. The dishes were unique and tasted OK, nice to try once but wouldn't want to have again. Quite expensive for what you get.
