Located in the lively Pietermaai District, Restaurant Blessing is the place to go to get your taste buds spoiled. Fresh ingrediënts only, a professional team and a Chef with true passion for the art of cooking. Open 7 days a week.
Yes, this place is actually in a former church, though if you go on a quieter night, you'll probably be seated on the patio, as it's a bit cooler. The prices are probably the highest in Curaçao, but that's because the food is so thoughtfully curated. Fresh ingredients, packed with flavor. My personal favorite was the crème brûlée ravioli. Never experienced anything like that before! Service is leisurely, so order a bottle of wine.

Just arrived in Curacao and we were starved. No reservation posed no problem and the food was amazing. I had the pumpkin soup (not creamy) to start and had the chicken sate for my meal. Both were delicious. My friend had a wonderful fish dish. No room for dessert.

Walking along Penstraat, we came upon this unassuming home/restaurant. The waiter said they were trying a new concept - offering a chef's selection 3-course meal. Feeling adventurous, we gave it a try. I got mine to be vegetarian (they also accommodate any allergies or food restrictions). The plate brought out had an assemble-yourself crostini, with a chopped tomato bowl, blueberry goat-cheese spread and a roasted garlic to smear on the bread. Also accompanying was a mixed vegetable salad and coconut lemongrass soup. Everything was delicious but it felt a little too small for our entire meal (though would we really get all of that food for a first course?). As it happens, that was only the start. Next we had a medley of vegetables - seaweed, roasted pumpkin, squash over soy-glazed bok choy, sweet potato wedges and a local fried starch (funchi?) - all encircling a tiny bowl of dried fruits and mixed nuts. The non-vegetable option included prosciutto and olives. The last course was a delicious ice cream in coffee liquor served like a martini. All-in-all, a great, creative meal that was our best dinner on the island. The Dutch server was nice and brought out a handwritten bill to complete the homey quality of the meal.
