Small little restaurant, pleasant decor and exceptional cuisine. The owner and chef came out a couple of times and made sure everything was satisfactory. The waitress was also very pleasant and helpful including the wines. The tuna was perfect and the entrecot steak was very good, crem brule was a 10. Before leaving the owner brought over a bottle of Genepi which he shared with us. Wonderful experience. They are located inside a non attractive sort of mall, which I almost turned around and left, but fortunately we stayed.

Birthday lunch for my wife after a friend with good taste recommended Mapo for its originality and « rapport qualité /prix ». Lovely welcome from a highly engaging, charming waitress - set us immediately at ease and ensured we had apéritifs (Prosecco and rosé) and water while we chose our menus. We forewent the menu du jour, which actually looked delicious as it was served to adjacent tables but we plumped for a tapas style menu, starting with Tacos ouverts with truffle, Parmesan, mozzarella and roquette, followed by a scrumptious plate of wild mushrooms in spinach with a soft poached egg all in a delicious sauce, and capped it off with gambas poêlés with a spicy kimchi.A little Pinot Noir from the Valais as an accompaniment and then desserts of poached pear with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate ganache (with quinoa!) and coffees for the princely sum of CHF135. Wonderful! They have a terrace which is open in the summer. The restaurant is classically laid out, nothing froofroo, some discrete jazz in the background. Parking is difficult (but the tram runs along right outside). The restaurant has only been open 8 months, but it is well worth the visit.
