Fine dining with seasonal French cuisine and hand-picked French wines in a tastefully appointed and relaxed ambiance. The three-monthly changing menu comprises classic as well as modern dishes.
Wow. I have to add to the accolades. My hubby and I visited for my birthday dinner, and this restaurant surpassed all our expectations in every way possible. The staff was warm, knowledgeable and absolutely lovely. The food was incredible and the wine pairings perfect (we had 3 courses with wine). The origins and history of the various wines were fully explained to us with every glass. We were treated to additional courses and wine throughout. I am somewhat of a foodie and also appreciate good wine, and I have never had such a delightful experience. We were totally pampered the entire time. This restaurant is such a gem! I highly recommend it!

We enjoyed an excellent meal in this cosy little restaurant which had a log fire (very welcome on chilly night). The menus are all in German but staff were very helpful about translating. They also recommended a very good French red wine to complement the food. Our main was duck which was incredibly tasty and tender. Great experience all round. They even advised us the best route to walk home!

This is a classy French-style brasserie which has a beautiful interior and long opening hours and friendly, efficient staff. We came just after 8am for breakfast and it was already becoming busy. It is very popular both with locals and tourists alike. The locals sit out on the pavements day and night! You probably should book for lunch or dinner or if a large group. The choice for breakfast is amazing, but you can simply have a croissant, jam, butter and a coffee for â¬6.80. They do lovely omelettes. It is a bit pricey but we felt it was well worth it. It is open from 8am until midnight Monday to Friday, and 9am until midnight on Saturday and Sunday.

This is a very special treat - probably one of the best restaurants in Germany and awarded a Michelin one star. It is situated behind the glass facade of the Gewandhaus concert hall. It serves predominantly elegant, modern French cuisine, using top quality ingredients. Petra Schlegel is the owner/hostess and comes to your table to greet you. The taste is delightful and the food is presented so visually attractively. There are such delights as venison with chestnut purée, scallops with Perigord truffles, warm chocolate cake with lavender ice cream or caramelised tangerines. It is phenomenally expensive at â¬132 for 6 courses, without drinks. You can combine the dinner with a ticket to the concert hall for â¬284. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm until about midnight. Booking is essential. Go on, treat yourself!
