So many choices in one place, it is hard to pick the right one. I chose one filled up with spicy shredded meat and I was fully satisfied with the flavor and size. It took me a while to get there, though. Ask the counter for advice and they will gladly help. This isn't a cheap place, so make sure it is worth the price. In general terms, I think it is.

Whenever I visit Costa Rica, I make it a point to go to Los Tiroleses Restaurant at the Chalet El Tirol Hotel in Heredia. We usually go and order the Chateubriand, they finish the dish at your table with a flambé show, just like in France. Everything I have tried at this restaurant has been cooked just right. The quality of the beef for the Chateaubriand is fabulous. They have nice wines to choose from and pair with your meal. This time we ordered Crepe Suzette for desert and they brought the cart with the pretty copper pan, and made the flambé show too. Service is wonderful and the staff is very polite. If you want to eat a great piece of meat and go for a nice 30 minutes mountain ride from San Jose, go to Los Tiroleses. I like going during the day to watch the scenery and enjoy the trip.

The Chef Patricia Richer, international Disciple Escoffier welcomes you in her restaurant, a house from 1927, a concept of "Tables d'Hotes" that shares generously French culture and cuisine with the accents of Provence. La Terrasse French Cuisine is a pri
We had reserved a dinner reservation many weeks in advance and confirmed via email before we left the US. We walked to the restaurant (~10 blocks at night from a not great part of town...) only to have real difficulty finding it - finally ringing the bell for an apartment under the sign for La Terrasse. The person that finally came to the door told us that this was an Air BnB??!! We finally called the number on the sign and were told that the restaurant was closed that night??!! The owner said that they sent an email that morning telling us that they had cancelled all reservations that night!! (I did not have email access at my hotel and they made no attempt to meet us and try and find alternative plans for our special dinner.) I would NEVER encourage anyone from eating at a restaurant that treated people in such a way.Dear Sir, I sent you the same day at 7.26 am a letter on your mail (only way to contact you) to inform you that the restaurant had a significant leak of water from the upper floor. I left you a message on your phone at 3.58 pm that was specified on your email to try again to inform you of this problem. You were unreachable. At the end of the afternoon, you phoned me and I explained that I could not receive you in these conditions due to the water damage. I regret this incident. But it's beyond my control. Sincerely, Patricia Richer. I can attach a copy of my letter and the telephone message.

Restaurant Grano de Oro merges Costa Rican tropical with European cuisine under the expertise of our French chef Francis Canal. Once a simple cafe, this restaurant has evolved into one of San Joseâs finest dining establishments, frequented by locals and t
I visited the restaurant with mum and some dear friends. The restaurant is located inside Grano de Oro's Hotel. The atmosphere of this place is exquisite and absolutely unique in San Jose because the architecture of this hotel, despite is a recent work (modern) evokes the beautiful charm of Victorian architecture. There's a refined work of interior architecture and details which well worth a visit and which will make you feel you into another era.But not just the atmosphere counts, food is wonderful, tasty, refined and prepared with love and care.In the menu you can choose a wide variety of delicious dishes made with local ingredients and french cooking techniques, as well.I strongly encourage people to visit the place. It worth it!Luis Manuel Espinoza R.
