Le Chateau is a top class restaurant serving Belgian style food. It is consistently above average. I had one of the best steaks I had tasted, the lamb stew was great and there are also vegetarian options. They have a speciality beer and gin list and an extensive wine list. Service is excellent. There are so many breads. There are also cakes and macaroons. Cakes and bread are very tasty. I think this is the best bakery in Uganda. The inside of the restaurant is also very clean and modern. But Meat was not special. It was rather dry. But salad and fries were very good.

The pros : nice setting, despite the loud music from the lounge next door. fairly quick service. The cons : disappointing food, despite a fairly interesting menu. Started duck terrine was nothing extraordinary. Duck breast was totally overpowered by a sauce too sweet, green pepper was tasteless. Wine list is much too short for a restaurant giving so much importance to wine for its decoration.

Excellent interior and environment. Amazing top class service and very well trained staff. Menu looks good,but I ordered tilapia- below average, but served professionally!! Desert- was amazing, great coffee and lovely selection of wine. Very reasonable prices for such a high level restaurant.In general- I recommend this place for business or family meetings.
