Find out what French restaurants to try in Camps Bay. Shaded spots go early at Cape Town's crowded Camps Bay, where locals picnic and play in the strong Atlantic waves. Look for the flagged bathing areas for safer swims for all the family. Festive cafes sit adjacent to the sands, which are dramatically set at the foot of the Twelve Apostles mountains.

La Mouette Restaurant opened in 2010 by Chef and co-owner Henry Vigar, his wife, Mari and their business partner Gerrit Bruwer. La Mouette offers seasonally inspired and modern food. With ever-changing and seasonally inspired menus, friendly staff and a b
The minute we entered the restaurant, we felt comfortable and cared for. The service was impeccable. We were presented with the dinner options but had some questions because my friend is lactose intolerant. Unlike some other restaurants I've been to where the staff seems put out when changes to a dish are requested, the server here just said she'd check with the chef and came back with some excellent options for my friend. The two dishes we had were deconstructed so had a unique look and the taste of both were wonderful. In fact, I know it's the best food I had during my visit to South Africa. The wine selections were excellent with a large pour - no stingy drink size here. The "on the house" dish of chocolates served at the end was a nice touch. I thought the price was reasonable for the experience and would definitely recommend La Mouette.

Frequented by people that you would want to know, the stately Leinster Hall has been brilliantly reimagined and repurposed as The Stack: With an opulent public bar and brasserie downstairs and a unique private members' club upstairs, it's the perfect plac
Attended a birthday celebration in the members section upstairs. Beautiful decor which created a relaxing intimate atmosphere. Bar staff were friendly and attentive. Cheese platters were very good quality. Desert platters were an intriguing mix. Overall lovely evening.

Casual and informal bistro in Gardens, Cape Town with an a great little bar, "The Snug".
Three stars because the interior is very charming and the service was great; the food, however, fell short. The risotto and the pasta dishes were so over-seasoned that it almost felt like an entire salt cellar accidentally fell into the pot and the chef didn't want to start over. The other dishes, both from the specials board, were nothing special.Dear Julie,Thank you very much for your constructive feedback, it is one of the most valuable tools for us to continue to strive to improve. We are very saddened and concerned by your review. Would it be possible for you to meet with our chef and our owner at your convenience to discuss your experience?

Classic dishes with a South African twist. In an industrial 1920's "members-only club" inspired space where everyone is welcome
This restaurant has an amazing vibe, and smaller plates (almost like tapas in terms of portion size), and is generally a fun place. The owners were flexible in accommodating us despite no reservation and we thoroughly enjoyed the experienceWould recommend everyone go here
